Letter from Chief Hiatt

On behalf of the men and women of the Petal Police department, I would like to welcome you to the City of Petal. The individuals of this department are well-trained law enforcement professionals and civilian staff members. They are dedicated to providing our community with a high quality of service in a courteous and professional manner.

The Petal Police department is committed to the safety of the city’s citizens and visitors and looks forward to developed relationships worthy of the respect of the community we serve. A high standard of policing has been established and will be maintained. It is our honor to serve this city.

As your Chief of Police, I am committed to accountability at all levels. I am committed to mutual respect and having honest communication with the community.
